PDFTables now has a Chrome extension that can be installed from the Chrome web store. You can add the extension to your Chrome toolbar so that PDFTables is with you wherever you go. The extension offers PDF conversion to Excel, CSV, XML and HTML as well as a link to our API.
Using PDFTables to convert your PDFs can free up hundreds of hours of work, eliminating the need for time consuming and error prone copying and pasting. The algorithm understands the spacing between items, much as your eye does. It works reliably with large quantities of data to give you the best output.
If you haven't already, install Google Chrome on your computer by following this link.
Go to https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions and type 'PDFTables' into the search bar. Alternatively, head straight to the PDFTables page.
When on the PDFTables extension page, click the blue 'Add to Chrome' button. You will see a pop up asking if you'd like to add 'PDFTables - PDF Converter', click 'Add extension'.
A pop up will now show saying that the extension has been added to Chrome and the extension logo will show in your Chrome toolbar. Click on the logo to see all the options available within the PDFTables extension.
Download the PDF that you would like to convert and save it on your computer. Click the relevant option within the extension and click the green 'Convert a PDF' button. Find your PDF in the folder you saved it in then click 'Open'. Your PDF will now be converted and a preview shown to you. Choose the download format you'd like from the green drop down menu. Your download will start and be saved in the downloads folder of your computer.
You've now installed the PDFTables Chrome extension and converted a PDF.
